Iviani DEB primary School
mitto-andei Kenya
Iviani is a rural village of 12,000 people located in the Mtito Andei Division, neighboring the Tsavo Game Reserve. Known for its warm, family-oriented community, the village faces significant challenges due to the large elephant population, which complicates farming efforts. Most residents rely on maize farming for their livelihood, living in simple homes made from handmade mud bricks. On average, they earn about 30,000 Kenyan Shillings (approximately $230 USD) per year.
On the trips, teams will partner with Iviani DEB primary School in Mitto Andei, working alongside Principal Elizabeth Muthai and her staff.

Projects will include drilling a well to address water shortages, completing the administration block, and building a perimeter wall to protect the school from elephants. Teams will also lead a Kids’ Club and visit local families to experience rural Kenyan life.
Accommodations will be at Tsavo Inn, where meals will be provided. After several days of work, the team will enjoy a safari at Amboseli National Park. World Servants prioritizes safety and will adjust plans if necessary to ensure the well-being of all participants.
