World Servants collaborates with Peru Hope in Huaycan, a suburb of Lima, to support immigrant settlers striving for improved living conditions in this impoverished area, where the average household income is less than $9,000 USD a year. We partner with Peru Hope in spreading the Gospel through various outreach activities, such as leading Kid’s Club sessions, empowering women, and hosting community events. Currently, we are engaged in building a church/community center, providing assistance through carpentry, concrete work, and agricultural cultivation.

Prior to departure, teams undergo cross-cultural training to equip members for respectful interactions with locals. Ensuring safety is paramount, with teams accommodated at a local Catholic center in Huaycan and meals provided by locals throughout the trip. Comprehensive safety measures are in place to ensure a secure journey.
